• IP address: Every device connected to the Internet is assigned a number known as an Internet protocol (IP) address. These numbers are usually assigned in geographic blocks. An IP address can often be used to identify the location from which a device is connecting to the Internet.
• Personnel: refers to those individuals who are employed by BhuDEV or are under contract to perform a service on behalf of one of the parties.
• Personal Data: any information that directly, indirectly, or in connection with other information — including a personal identification number — allows for the identification or identifiability of a natural person.
• Service: refers to the service provided by BhuDEV as described in the relative terms (if available) and on this platform.
• Third-party service: refers to advertisers, contest sponsors, promotional and marketing partners, and others who provide our content or whose products or services we think may interest you.

• You: a person or entity that is registered with BhuDEV to use the Services.

App Functionalities

BhuDEV is an earthquake early warning app, which is used to transmit the early warning to people before the arrival of damaging earthquake waves. It is used to give early warning for the Uttarakhand region only. This app gets users location once at the time of user registration for the app functionality. After that it does not collect user location at all except during the profile update. It also requires user’s location when earthquake alert is sent to the user and user is stuck in disastrous situation and presses the HELP button.

1. This app is only made for the Uttarakhand region. But it may also detect earthquakes near to Uttarakhand state. We are not liable for any information for the users outside Uttarakhand. The users outside of Uttarakhand may use this app at their own risk.
2. User must agree to terms and conditions mentioned here if he/she wants to get alerts from our EEW system. It enables us to send warnings and alerts to the user.
3. User should allow the location permission, if he/she wants to share his/her location for rescue operations. It enables us to receive user’s location during the SOS. It also enables us to determine the remaining time left till impact.
4. We are using Google’s Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) service for sending early warning alerts and notification to the users. We are not responsible for any type of delay in notifications or alerts. We do not take any responsibility about the delivery of notifications or alerts.
5. As Earthquake Early Warning is an automated system, it does not guarantee the accuracy of the information. As the earthquake information is not vetted by any human, we are not responsible for the accuracy or correctness of the data.
6. The system may also miss the earthquake, or it may also generate the false warning. So, we will not be liable for any damage or loss due to these missed of false warnings.
7. There is an option for the requesting help by the users, in case of user is stuck in some problem during the earthquake. We will try our best to reach them out, but as number of people may be more, there be some delay in service, for which we will be not responsible.
8. Users are supposed to read the instructions for the safety during the earthquakes. Video tutorials are also available for guiding the users. These are most widely used safety tips, but we are not responsible for any losses or damage, while following these tips or guidelines.
9. Any misuse of this app will be a punishable offence under Disaster Management Act, 2005.

We endeavour to update and/or supplement the content of our service on a regular basis. Despite our care and attention, content may be incomplete and/or incorrect.

The materials we offer are offered without any form of guarantee or claim to their correctness. These materials can be changed at any time without prior notice from us.
